Note to Colorado Readers Tomorrow, 3/6/07, the House Armed Services Committee is reviewing HB 07-1069, sponsored by a Republican Senator, Kester and a Democrat Representative, McKinley, which would withdraw Colorado State support for the use of Eminent Domain for the purpose of expanding the Pinon Canyon Maneuver Site. I plan to be on the phone a lot with every member of the committee (or their offices, most likely) and everyone who represents El Paso county, asking them to support this legislation to the fullest. On KVOR 3/1/07 Brigadier General James Milano said they were "...Welcoming 10,000 new troop. We have sufficient facilities and training capabilities for them..." So what do they need more for. Please contact them: The members of the House State, Veterans and Military Affairs committee and their office numbers are: El Paso County Senators and Reps: TOM WIENS DAVE SCHULTHEIS RON MAY KENT LAMBERT MICHAEL MERRIFIELD MARSHA LOOPER AMY STEPHENS BOB GARDNER For other areas, please look them up and call asap.
